What you can do with it:
XXL extra-fine merino wool is a fiber that can be used in a variety of textile techniques. Its soft texture is perfect for creating colorful "clouds" in your handloom and macrame tapestries. Its touch is pure pleasure, and the finish it gives to your pieces is unique.
This worsted wool is also ideal for felting, spinning and arm knitting.
This is what makes this wool so special:
It's a 23-micron worsted wool , which means it's incredibly soft and has a beautiful sheen. The skeins can be divided into finer strands of wool without scissors, using your own hands, allowing you to choose the exact thickness you want for your piece.
It's perfect for adding texture to our pieces, whether it's to create the braid effect provided by the soumak stitch, or to add fluffy clouds by improvising on the tapestry.
We are delighted to partner with DHG Italia, Dyeing House Gallery, to offer this premium, extra-fine merino wool. Sourced from both Australia and South America, it is carefully selected to ensure excellent quality. All batches are mulesing-free. Dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is carried out in their own GOTS 5.0 and GRS certified dyehouse.
